We are beginning to map mills by Old County using two sources:
- Our late member John Crompton had volunteered for Royal Commission for many years and has recorded all signs of milling activity on the old 1:25″ maps
- Mention of mills in Melin papers. All paper references are Mill volume and page numbers.
We will be gradually putting the information that we have here as a series of maps. Our first two counties are Anglesey and Radnorshire. More to follow.
Note: There is ongoing research into the mills of Radnorshire for new county history book, so some addition information is given for this county.
